Stories

4th November 1922

Today I’m famous. I finally found it. The pyramid, it was the largest pyramid I ever saw.

Right, I went in the pyramid. Everyone stood silent.

Inside the pyramid a six foot picture of a sphinx was on the right hand side. Slowly I inched further, some hieroglyphics spelt out DEATH TO ALL WHO ENTERS. We went on, someone fell in a pit of snakes. We wrote in the sand Jacob Miller. We had made a decision and went down. It was strange though we were going upwards we came to a dead end. I tapped the wall it was hollow. I chiselled the top left hand side and peered inside it was a magnificent sight. Gold, gems, emeralds and many more beautiful stones. So I chiselled the whole block out. Got through and saw Tutankhamen. He was wrapped in cloth that was airtight and over his head was a wonderful mask. We carried him out of the tomb. People cheered and whistled I felt proud. We loaded him on a truck. I had a horrible feeling, I thought back to the hieroglyphics.

4th November 1922

Today something amazing happened I finally found it.

I stood at the bottom of the pyramid. The heat was outrageous.

I found a door. It was hard to open.  There were three passageways inside.  There were some hieroglyphics on the wall it said Beware!

I chose the middle passage but I thought, is it right, it’s someone’s grave.

But I forgot about that, as excitement filled me again.

Then I paused.  There was a wall I chiselled it out quickly.  A bright flash of gold, I screamed I found it.

All About Australia

Year 4 were very lucky recently when two Australian Teachers came in and showed the children what life is like in Australia.  The children even got to have a go with different instruments.

Under 9's Football Tournament

It was the under 9’s football tournament in April and yet again it was raining.  The team played exceptionally well and were unbeaten on the day, winning 3 and drawing 3.
