I hope that you have noticed our Walking Bus which is operating each morning on the route from Vale. If you wish your child to come to school with this group, or need more information, please let us know and we will make the necessary arrangements.
A dedicated mobile number is available and should be used to inform the leader of any absences / pick ups. The phone will be switched on at 8.00am each morning for 1 hour only. The number is:- 078 5286 6964 and should not be used for any other purpose.
Those of you who still bring children by car may wish to consider reducing the parking congestion around school by dropping your child at Bobbin Mill Flats and they can walk from there with the group.
School trip season is upon us please make sure you read all the notes we send home to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time.
Please support our Guinness World Record attempt for the longest walking bus on Wednesday 13th June.
Staff news
Congratulations to Ms Carty, our Extended School Co-ordinator, on the birth of her daughter, Lily, and welcome to Mrs Ormerod who has been appointed to cover her absence.
Best wishes to Ms Todd, Y4 Teaching Assistant, who started her maternity leave this month and welcome to Mrs S Jacques who has been appointed to cover her absence.
After School Club
I am pleased to remind you that we are now offering after-school care every school day 3: 30 – 6pm. If you are interested please call in any evening to see the staff for more details. They will be situated in the Conference Room / Old Class 5.
Summer Holiday Activities
The local schools are in the process of organising activities for the children during the summer holidays. There will be flyer coming out with full details in the next couple of weeks.
