6 May 2009 - May 2009
School OPEN Thursday 7th May
Just a reminder that school will be open on Thursday 7th May due to the change in date for European Election Day, but closed on Thursday 4th June as school will be being used as a polling station. There was a change to the original date and so I realise that there has been some confusion. Please make a note of this date as you will have to find alternative childcare for your child.
SAT’S Week Begins Monday 11th May
Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be taking these tests this week. Please ensure that your child has plenty of sleep, a good breakfast and arrives at school on time for the duration of the test week. Please keep interruptions to the school day to a minimum and no visitors to the school this week.
School Garden
You may have noticed that the plans for the new garden are well under way, with the planters recently being put in and new fencing. We will keep you informed of any more development!
Reminders
Any money sent into school for After School Activities or Dinners MUST be in a sealed envelope with your child’s name on and what club it is for to avoid confusion. Please also remember to let the office or After School Club know as far as possible in advance if you would like your child to attend.
School Trips
We are coming up to a busy time of year with school trips being arranged; please note that separate letters will be sent out to each class about individual trips in due course.
British Weather
As we know the weather has been quite unpredictable recently but please ensure that your child is sent with appropriate outdoor wear for play times. Please also provide a sunhat for warm weather and ensure your child has something to cover up their arms with for dinnertime play.
Class photos
Class photos will take place on Friday 5th June. If any school uniform is required for the photos please call into the office where the staff have a supply available to buy. School jumpers are priced at £8.00 each.
Nursery Places
If your child is aged 4 between September 2009 and August 2010 they could start Nursery in September 2009. If you would like to come and have a look around our Foundation Stage, please phone on 812787 or call into the school office. We will be happy to make an appointment for you to come and meet the teachers and children and see what exciting things we get up to! If you know of anyone who has a child of Nursery age then please encourage them to come and look around!
