The Punishment Book

Discipline was a very different matter in the early part of the century. Corporal punishment played a very strong role in every day school life and the dreaded cane was something to be scared of!

This page shows us that 'Persistent Idleness', 'Stupidness' and 'Disobedience' were all punishable by a cane on each hand or even the behind!
